17 years inside, Now Drawing Yours..

Hi my name is Danny Horner and I am a self-taught artist from Connecticut with a unique story to share.

My journey to becoming an artist began in a place I never imagined - prison. After making some poor choices in my past, I found myself serving time for drug-related charges. It was during this challenging period of my life that I discovered my passion for art.

With no formal training, I began to teach myself how to draw using graphite pencils, and colored pencils. Drawing became my solace, my escape, and my way of expressing myself in a difficult environment. I dedicated hours each day to honing my craft, and over time, I developed a skill and talent that I never knew I possessed.

In 2020, I finished serving my time and was released from prison, determined to turn my life around and pursue my passion for art. I found a job in a local sandwich shop to support myself and began taking commissions for portraits as a side hustle. With over 15 years of experience under my belt, I decided that am ready to take my art career to the next level and share my gift with the world.

Drawing portraits of those who have passed away, newborn babies, couples on their wedding day, and graduates celebrating their achievements brings me immense joy. Each piece I create is a labor of love, a tribute to the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.

Thank you for visiting my website and considering me to capture your precious memories in art. I look forward to working with you and creating a piece that will be cherished for a lifetime.
