That’s it for the basics, Pencil Gangsters!
You’ve got the tools: paper tooth, graphite grades (4H–6B), kneaded eraser, mechanical eraser, white plastic eraser, and the grid method.
Now it’s your turn.
Grab a photo (your dog, a family member, a celebrity – anything with clear features). Draw a simple portrait using the grid and the shading techniques we covered.
Don’t aim for perfect. Aim for progress.
When you’re done, snap a clear photo of your drawing and upload it here (or email it to me if the upload glitches).
I’ll give you honest feedback – what’s working, what needs love, and your next step.
No pressure. No judgment. Just practice.
Post it when you’re ready. I can’t wait to see what you make.
Let’s go. ✏️
